Career Summary

Jay Scott Brown brings his extensive personal experience, market knowledge, enthusiasm and creativity to every project.  Jay’s primary responsibility is to assist Investment clients in furthering their wealth creation goals.  His unique perspective and understanding of the field benefits existing owners as well as prospective purchasers.

Jay formed Park Place Properties, Inc. in 1983 in order to bring the efficiencies of apartment management to single family and small multi-family properties.  The company eventually expanded in commercial and larger apartment accounts.  Increasing success led to the company’s first purchase of distressed apartments in 1990.  The rehabilitation of that property and the two that followed allowed Jay to reap the benefits of multi-family investments. 

Jay started Apartment Properties & Technology, Inc. in 1996 to push the leading edge of real estate practice by using evolving technology to assist clients in making more informed investment decisions.  In January 2000, Jay joined forces with Grubb & Ellis|Levy Beffort and expanded his experience and knowledge across all investment product types along with extending his reach through nationwide networks. Returning to his management roots, in 2005 Jay purchased a small company to help clients address a critical component to maximizing profits.  Welcome Home with over 20 employees is now a leader in residential property management in Oklahoma City.  When the opportunity to acquire a mortgage brokerage business presented itself in 2008, Jay recognized that his product and market knowledge along with his mediation skills were a perfect match to helping clients secure financing to acquire or continue to hold their investments.
